Please join us on April 14, 2024 for

a gift of song

Threshold singers sit in a circle, with audience members sitting around them, letting the songs and harmonies bring peace, comfort and support. We welcome everyone who is comfortable listening quietly (or joining us, if you like, in quiet singing). There is no charge for this nurturing experience.

We will have our first Gift of Song since covid began on April 14, 2024, at 4 pm at Jewel Heart Center, 1129 Oak Valley Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. More details will be coming soon.

bedside songs

Music has a way of quieting fears and opening the hearts of all present. Often, there is emotional release.

When we are invited to a bedside, a small group (usually two to four of us) will spend about a half hour singing very, very softly to your loved one. We sing in much the same way that a mother sings to a child. Not surprisingly, loved ones, including family members and caregivers, usually respond by becoming calmer and more settled. Songs are chosen with the current needs and spiritual orientation of your loved one in mind.

We also offer singing for the community from time to time, through our program entitled "A Gift of Song."

Our repertoire includes lullabies, simple rounds, chants, and songs from many spiritual traditions.

We would be honored to pay a visit, in person or virtually, to someone in your life who would welcome and benefit from our gentle, soothing singing. More information.
